© Strode Funeral Home Stillwater, Oklahoma March 1, 2008 Betty Jo [Garrison] Hankins May 9, 1934 ~ February 28, 2008 Betty Jo Hankins, 73, of Stillwater died on Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008 in Stillwater. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Strode Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Dickey officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Services will conclude at the chapel and there will not be a procession to the cemetery. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born May 9, 1934, in Claremore to Tom Garrison and Edna Mae (Bolen) Garrison. She attended Claremore and Oolagah schools and graduated from Claremore High School. She married William E. Hankins April 4, 1975, in Stillwater. He preceded her in death Nov. 18, 1997. She was a member of the Church of God. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Tommy Hankins; one brother, Raymond Garrison; two sisters, Linda Hall and Peggy Brock; and one granddaughter, Dora Kay Hankins. She is survived by three sons, Donald Stebens of Haysville, Kan., Ronnie Stebens of Stillwater and Rocky Stebens of Stillwater; two daughters, Debbie Wells of Arkansas City, Kan., and Carla Cowans of Stillwater; 15 grandchildren, Misty Wells of Kansas City, Kan., David Wells of Arkansas City, Vanessa Wells of Oregon, Matthew Wells of Arkansas City, Blair Bradley of Oklahoma City, Dustin Cowans of Stillwater, Kimberly Stebens of Stillwater, Isaac Stebens of Stillwater, Nathan Stebens of Stillwater, Garrison Stebens of Stillwater, Debbie Hankins of Stillwater, Darla Hankins of Stillwater, Donna Crites of Dallas, Deanna Yarborough of Eufala, and Trisha Dozier of Durant; four great-grandchildren, Jessica Stebens of Rosehill, Kan., Adrianna Wells of Arkansas City, Kaleb Wells of Arkansas City and Henry David Finnell of Kansas City; four sisters, Gladys Harrison of Ponca City, Susie Brown of Ponca City, Patty Hardin of Branson, Mo., and Diana Jarmon of Dallas; and one brother, Junior "Red" Garrison of Stillwater. |
