© Stillwater News Press Stillwater, Oklahoma November 10, 2007 Dorothy Frances [Bell] Ewens February 19, 1914 ~ November 9, 2007 Dorothy Frances Bell Ewens, 93, longtime resident of Stillwater, and recently of Pearland, Texas, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2007, in Houston. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Stanley M. Warfield Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday in Strode Funeral Home. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born Feb. 19, 1914, in Kansas City, Kan., to James Edward Bell and Vena [Sander] Bell. She married William Price Ewens Nov. 3, 1940, in Moberly, Mo. She attended school in Moberly and graduated from Moberly High School in 1932. She was an accomplished artist and had the opportunity to study under Gallrein. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two brothers. She is survived by one son, William C. Ewens and his wife, Fritza, of Manvel, Texas; one daughter, Barbara Cusimano and her husband, Dominic, of Corvallis, Ore.; one granddaughter, Melissa Vanderslice of Duncan and two great-grandchildren.
