July 12, 1981 Buster Brown Boatman December 23, 1908 ~ July 10, 1981 Graveside rites for Buster B. Boatman, 72, former Stillwater resident, will be at 4 pm Sunday in Sunset Memorial Garden Cemetery. At 1 pm today a service will be conducted in the Turner Funeral Home of Yukon. He died Friday, July 10, 1982, in Bethany General Hospital. He was a resident of 116 Platt Drive, Yukon, at the time of his death. He was born, December 23, 1908, at Lukfata, Indian Territory [OK]. He was a Stillwater resident for many years and had retired from the United States Department of Agriculture. He and the former Elsie Over were Married in July 1941, at Woodward. He was with the US Navy during World War II, and was a member of the American Legion. He is survived by his wife of the home, two sons, Buster B. Boatman Jr of Denver Colo, and Howard Boatman of Yukon; two daughters, Mrs. T. K. [Lu] Batman and Mrs Gerald [Sue] Chernicoff, both of Yukon. Also surviving are five grandchildren and a sister, Mrs Bessie Gibson of Fort Worth, Texas. |
