Home Stillwater, Oklahoma August 2009 Rosella Pearl [Gottfried] Bays May 29, 1933 ~ August 8, 2009 Rosella Pearl Bays, 76, of Stillwater, Oklahoma passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2009 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2009 at 7:00 p. m. at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, where she was a member. Elder Brian Kinney will be officiating. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Rosella was born on May 29, 1933 in Payne County, Oklahoma to Mitis B.F. Gottfried and Elsie Mae (Jenkins) Gottfried. She married Willfred V. Bays on April 19, 1956 in Guthrie, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death. Rosella lived in Stillwater since 1956 and in Oklahoma all her life. One of her hobbies was sewing. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willfred V. Bays; two brothers, Walter William Gottfried, and Orvel Elmer Gottfried; and four sisters, Freeda Terrill, Gertie Warden, Edna Helena Slavens, and Ruby Maxine Slavens. She is survived by two sons, Steven Max Bays of Stillwater, and Harold Wade Bays of Ripley, OK; four brothers; Ray Eugene Gottfried of Stillwater, OK, Cecil Edward Gottfried of Stillwater, OK; Merl Leon Gottfried of Perry, OK, and Charles Melvin Gottfried of Stillwater, OK. one sister; Virginia Ann Garringer of Perry, OK.
