© Strode Funeral Home Stillwater, Oklahoma January 2015 Robert Fred Ahrberg February 28, 1929 ~ January 20, 2015 Robert Fred Ahrberg, 85, passed away from this life on January 20, 2015 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Stillwater. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Bob was born on February 28, 1929 in Stillwater to Fred William and Ruth [Ingrahm] Ahrberg. He married Sally Swim on June 1, 1952. Bob grew up in Pawhuska, but graduated from Stillwater High School in 1947. He later graduated from Oklahoma A&M with a degree in Animal Science in 1951. He started and ran Ahrberg Milling Company in 1954 with his father-in-law, Paul Swim. His greatest passion was farming and ranching. He had been in the U.S. Naval Reserves and, later, the U.S. Army. He belonged to Rotary International, Flying Farmers; Scabbard and Blade ROTC; Cattleman’s Association; and Oklahoma Feed and Grain Association. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Ruth Ahrberg; sisters, Mary Ruth, Phyllis Anne, and Ruth Marie. He is survived by his wife, Sally; son, Fred and his wife, Janet; daughter, Anne and her husband, Mark; four grandchildren, Leslie and her husband, Jeremy; Robin; Erin and her husband, Ryan; and Robert; two great-grandsons; his German family, Stefan and Martina; and his dog, Angel. He is also survived by his brother, Bill and his family; as well as the children of his sister, Ruth Marie. In lieu of flowers, please honor Bob’s love of animals by making donations to the Humane Society of Stillwater, 1710 S. Main St., Stillwater, OK 74074 or other charities of your choice.
