© Palmer Marler Funeral Home Cushing, OK - Payne and Lincoln County November 2008 March 7, 1945 ~ November 15, 2008 Mary Bonita Moore, a lifelong Cushing resident, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, November 15, 2008, in Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. Funeral services have been entrusted to the Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, and will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the First United Methodist Church in Cushing with Pastor Robert Adams, of the First Assembly of God Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Silver Star Cemetery in Cushing. The daughter of the late Gracey Moore and Ruby Freeman Moore, Mary was born March 7, 1945, in Cushing, where she was reared and educated. While living in Cushing, Mary cleaned homes and worked in home health care before she began working for Cushing Regional Hospital in the dietary department. She worked there for nearly 19 years before retiring. In her spare time, she loved to cook, garden and cheer on the Oklahoma State University Cowboys. Mary loved and supported the First Assembly of God Church. Mary's friends will remember her as a woman who had a great sense of humor and for being caring and compassionate. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Many of her friends will miss her "taking care of the neighborhood." She was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Moore. |
