© Palmer Marler Funeral Home Cushing, OK - Payne and Lincoln County May 2021 August 23, 1943 ~ May 14, 2021 Brenda Kay Nicholas, a longtime Cushing resident, passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021 at the age of 77. Brenda was born on August 23, 1943 in Parsons, Kansas to the late Harry Samuel and Martha Jane [Keller] Pate. Brenda grew up in Drumright/Cushing area, graduating from Drumright High School. She waitressed for a few years. Brenda enjoyed fishing, cooking, and watching football. The highlight of her life was spending time with her grandson. Brenda is survived by her sons Randy Rowell of Cushing, Samuel Wright of Cushing, Jim Story and wife Christie of Cushing, sisters Diana Hopkins and husband Danny of Cushing, Carol Childers of Cushing, grandson Daniel Rowell and Reggie Robert Story, great granddaughter Layla Rowell, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Vernon Nicholas, sister Veronica Pate and brothers Larry Pate and Sam Pate. Funeral services will be held Thursday at Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Pate Cemetery, Cushing, Oklahoma. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma. |
