© Strode Funeral Home Stillwater, Oklahoma July 2011 March 14, 1936 ~ July 12, 2011 Carolyn Frances Elledge went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 12, 2011 at the Stillwater Municipal Hospital. She was 75 years old. Funeral services for Carolyn will be at 10:30 Saturday, July 16, 2011 at the Mehan Union Church. Pastor Larry Eslinger will officiate. Internment will follow at Parrotte Cemetery. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Carolyn was born on March 14, 1936 to Albert and Frances Babcock in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She attended Stillwater schools and Oklahoma State University. She married La Monte Brownlee in March of 1954. They made their home in Stillwater and later California. In 1961 she married Ed Elledge and they lived on a farm south of Ripley. Carolyn worked as office manager of Oklahoma State University Placement offices for 6 years. She worked as secretary to the superintendent of Ripley Schools and Cushing Schools. She worked as secretary of Mehan Union Church for 12 years. Carolyn was an accomplished artist and violinist. She loved gardening. She was always ready to share her faith in God and love for Jesus. She always took time to listen and was very giving. She was a very kind, loving grandmother and a wonderful mother. She will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Frances Babcock, one brother Norman Babcock, and her husband Ed Elledge. She is survived by one daughter Lee Ann Eslinger, son-in-law Larry Eslinger, 6 grandchildren Sarah Cazzelle, Matthew Eslinger, Joshua Eslinger, Rebekah Fanning, Anna Eslinger, Naomi Eslinger, and 2 great grandchildren Luke Cazzelle and Brody Fanning and many loving friends.
