© Davis Funeral Home Cushing, Oklahoma Reprinted with permission December 2017 Loretta Lorraine [Gates] Cooksey 15 February 1960 ~ 27 December 2017 Loretta Cooksey, 57, passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, December 27, 2017. Services will be held 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2017 at the Cushing Christian Church. Interment will follow at Olivet Cemetery. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Loretta was born to Jack and Ruby Gates on February 15, 1960 in Yale, OK. She married Gerald Cooksey on June 3, 1989 in Winfield, Kansas. Loretta worked as a certified nurse’s aide. She was preceded in death by her father; brothers, David and Elvis Gates; sister, Rose Cooksey; granddaughter, Maryiah Parmley; great granddaughter, Jasmine Castor; first husband, Roy Parmley Sr. She is survived by her mother; husband, Gerald Cooksey; sons, Roy Frances Parmley, and Curtis Parmley Sr; daughters, Amanda Harrell, and Tina Johnson; son in laws, David Harrel, and Jeremiah Johnson; daughter in law, Lorene Metcalf; grandchildren, Derieck, Mary, Loretta, Roy, Jeffery, Courtney, Austin, Ashlynn, Tatelynn, Curtis JR., Kaecyn, Jada, Khloy, Riely, Ashton, Kanon, Lily Ann, Pyper, Jaxon, Domonick, Jeremiah JR., Payton, Nashan, and Adriane; great grandchildren, Ben, Aaron, Charles, and Bruce; Brother, Ronald Fultz; Sister Feebie Cooksey. Pallbearers will be, Roy Parmley, Curtis Parmley, Jeremiah Johnson, Clayton Peterson, Timothy Cooksey, and Amanda Harrell.
