Lena June Allen Wilkerson passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2010 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 67 years.
The daughter of the late Elmer Allen and Lena June Smith Allen, Lena was born on April 20, 1943 in Chicago, IL.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Del City.
She was a real super mother who raised five children on her own and helped take care of her grandkids and was a big influence on where her family is today.
Lena also enjoyed crocheting, ceramic painting, and her number one priority that she would tell her grandchild was “stay in school”.
Survivors include her children, Roy Crandell and his wife Mary, Johnny McPherson, Hubert Lee, Jr., Sherry Thomas and Diane Garcia and her husband Mark Salzillo, all of Oklahoma City, OK; her grandchildren, David Garcia, Daniel Garcia, Rhonda Garcia, April Sarabia, Marcus Santillan, Victoria Santillan, Tinie Thomas, Heather McPherson, John Paul McPherson, Letha Crandell. Brittany Lee, Taylor Ford, Lisa Strickland and her husband Luke and Elizabeth Randell and her husband Randy; great-grandkids, Jonathan and Anthony Sarabia, Mariaelena and Rosemary Sarabia and Brandie, Luis and Michael Strickland; four sisters, Virginia Brown, Sue Hartman, Tina Manly and Sheila Lee; two brothers, Melvin Allen and Randy Allen; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Lena was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010 at 2 P.M. in the Memorial Chapel of the Davis Funeral Home with Pastor Buddy Townsend, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Del City, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery.
