Edna Francis Kent, Cushing resident, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2008 in the Cushing Regional Hospital at the age of 76 years.

The daughter of the late Lesley Hayes and Laura Hutchison Hayes, Edna was born on July 12, 1932 in Missouri, where she was also reared and educated.

She was united in marriage to Julius Hendrix Land and to this union four daughters, Beverly, Bonnie, Brenda and Beckie were born. She was later married to Gordon David Kent.

Edna was a member of the Oak Street Baptist Church.

She enjoyed traveling, playing bingo and going to the casino.

Survivors include her husband, Dave, of the home; four daughters, Beverly June Ogle and her husband Jimmy of Depew, Bonnie Jean Thompson of Stroud, Brenda Joyce McDaniels and her husband Mike of Cushing and Beckie JoAnn Ridge and Michael of Stroud; two-step daughters, Bonnie Sue Kent of Cushing and Linda Darlene Kent of Nicoma Park; one sister, Virginia; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Richard.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. in the Euchee Valley Memorial Park Cemetery with Reverend Mike Howard officiating.

The family will greet friends on Monday, November 24, 2008 from 5-7 in the Floyd Family Center, east of the funeral home.
