George Lee Cleveland, 81, died on Sunday, April 5, 2015 surrounded by his loving family in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
There will be a visitation held on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Strode Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Strode Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Steve Rangel officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Garden in Stillwater. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
George was born on October 26, 1933 in Kaw City, Oklahoma to Everett and Gertrude (Meyer) Cleveland.
He attended Stillwater High School and graduated in 1952. He also graduated from Oklahoma A&M in 1957 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
He married Karldene Marshall on August 21, 1954 and enjoyed 60 years of love and marriage.
He worked in the clothing industry as retail manager for years until becoming a retail consultant. He was a member of the Lions Club.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. George had a sincere love of people and a wonderful sense of servantship. George was loved and respected by those that knew him and could be found in his retirement years supporting his grandkids sporting events, attending OSU athletic events (especially wrestling), playing dominoes with family and friends and maintaining his beautiful landscape. George, Husband, Dad, and Grandpa will be greatly missed.
George is survived by his wife Karldene, three sons, and one daughter, eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother.
