CHILD DIES OF BURNS AT HOME NEAR INGALLS

Explosion of a gas stove at their home, eight miles from Stillwater and three miles from Ingalls, caused the death Monday night of the 14-months-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Otis Dowell.

The explosion took place about 3 o'clock Monday afternoon. Mrs. Dowell was alone in the house with the baby. and was herself badly burned about the hands and arms in trying to put out the flames on the little boy's clothing. His hands and arms and the front of his little body were badly burned, and he inhaled the flames from the burning dress.

Dr. Sexton was called and made a quick trip in his car from Stillwater. Death mercifully relieved the child of his suffering about 11 o'clock Monday night.
