© Davis Funeral Home Cushing, Oklahoma April 2007 Delene [Pergande] Culberson July 18, 1940 ~ April 19, 2007 Delene Pergande Culberson passed away early Thursday morning, April 19, 2007 in Ripley, OK following a courageous battle with cancer. The daughter of the late Delmar Pergande and Frances Mae Lambert Pergande, Delene was born on July 18, 1940 in Olympia, Washington and was reared and educated in Idaho. Delene will be greatly missed as she was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother that always cared for her family and those that she met in life. She had a love for her little friends, many dogs over the years that she cared for. Her home was filled with love and hope; many would come in to seek a place where they knew they would find a loving and caring person. She was referred to as “Mom” by most that knew her. In her passing we all have lost a wonderful person, but our lives were forever changed. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends; watching soaps on TV; working crossword puzzles and playing Yahtzee. She is survived by her children, Debbie Phillips and her husband Wayne of Ripley, OK, Clayton Newkirk and his wife Kim of Crane, MO, Calvin Newkirk and his wife Eulalia of New Braunfels, TX, Randy Newkirk and his wife Angie of Little Elm, TX, Ron Newkirk of Steele, MO, Kathy Crites and her husband Johnny of Seligman, MO, and Larry Ellison of Springdale, AR; two brothers, Richard Pergande of Boise, ID and Les Pergande of Denver, CO; one sister Annett Martin of Boise, ID; 21 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives including two wonderful friends Bonnie Burden of Cushing and Bill Farley of Ripley. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Elaine. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 20, 2007 from 2 P.M. until 4 P.M. in the Floyd Family Center, east of the Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 23, 2007 at 2 P.M. in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, north of Ripley. |
