© Davis Funeral Home Cushing, Oklahoma August 2008 January 12, 1953 ~ August 22, 2008 Wayne Eugene McGrew, longtime Yale resident, passed away on Friday morning, August 22, 2008, at his residence at the age of 55 years. The son of Wayne Shannon McGrew and Barbara Rosetta Scott McGrew, Wayne was born on January 12, 1953 in Cushing, OK and was reared and educated in Yale, graduating from Yale High School. Following high school he attended and graduated from Connors State College. Wayne had worked for HLH Construction in Drumright prior to his illness. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, setting around the camp fire telling stories and being outdoors. Survivors include his mother, Barbara Spyres of Yale; one sister Kathryn Elliot and her husband Robert of Yale; one nephew Shawn Elliott and his wife Michele and their children, Cloee, Caleb and Cameron; one niece Janette Gibson and her children, Isaac and Ethan, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne McGrew; his step-father, Lloyd Spyres and one infant daughter Alysia. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at 2 P.M. in the Lawson Cemetery at Yale with Pastor Mike Clark, officiating. |
