© Strode Funeral Home Stillwater, Oklahoma November 2010 Paul Ray Brown March 22, 1936 ~ November 18, 2010 Paul Ray Brown, 74 died on Thursday November 18, 2010 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the Veterans Hospital. His funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 in the Strode Funeral Home Chapel with Phyllis M. Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Lanier Cemetery in Stillwater, OK. Strode Funeral Home is in Charge of arrangements. Paul was born on March 22, 1936 to Albert Raymond Brown and Cora Mitchell in Delhi, Oklahoma. After serving two years in the Navy, he returned to Stillwater and began his education at Oklahoma State University. On June 8, 1957 he married Sallie A. Swisher. Paul graduated from O.S.U. in 1959 with degrees in Automotive and Diesel Technology. In 1961, he returned to the Navy and joined the Nuclear Power Submarine Group. In 1966 he was medically discharged from the Navy and returned once again to O.S.U. and received a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Cora. He is survived by his wife Sallie Brown, of the home; one son, Allen R. Brown, of Stillwater, OK; two daughters, Paula A. Brown, of the home, and Sheryl Brown and husband, Scott, of Dallas, TX; two brothers, Joel Brown and wife, Phyllis and Leon Brown and wife, Noreen; two sisters, Ruth Woolworth and husband, Wesley and Sarah Bradley and husband Laverne Bradley; 7 grandchildren, Christina Brown, Tim Collins, Jennifer O'Bryant, Joseph Taylor Wemmer, Jordan Wemmer, Kali Franklin, Lonnie Franklin, and Amber Brown; and 7 great-grandchildren. |
