Press Stillwater, Oklahoma Friday, January 29, 1943, Page 5 Willie Hezekiah Lacy April 28, 1873 ~ January 29, 1943 Willie Hezekiah Lacy, 69, a resident of Payne county since 1898, died Thursday in University hospital at Oklahoma City. Funeral services have been scheduled for Saturday morning in the Strode funeral home with Rev O. Edgar Wright officiating. Burial will be in the Perkins [Knipe] cemetery. Mr Lacy was born in Marion county, GA, April 28, 1873 the son of Mr & Mrs Hezekiah Pruitt Lacy. He was married in Arkansas November 18, 1894 to Frances Lee Boman who died in 1914. The couple lived in Arkansas until 1898, coming to Payne county at that time. Survivorsd include three sons, two daughters, two brothers, four — and 17 grandchildren. Sons and daughters are Merrit Lacy of Los Angeles, Calif; Mrs Poling of Perkins; Jesse Ray Lacy of Perkins; James H. Lacy of Perkins; Mrs Matilda Bays of Stillwater; Willie Lacy of Is—m Springs, Ark. The brothers and sisters are Quillie Jeremiah Lacy of Fayetteville, Ark; John Charles Lacy of California; Mrs Luverner Rose of Haskell; Mrs Launa Throckmorton of Oklahoma City. |
