© Palmer Marler Funeral Home Cushing, OK - Payne and Lincoln County February 2015 Donald Stevenson Hutchison August 6, 1937 ~ February 4, 2015 Donald Stevenson Hutchison was born August 6, 1937 in Chandler, Ok to Fred Hutchison and Verna Mae Hundley. Don received most of his education in Claremore, Ok. He joined the United States Navy in 1954 where he was a swimming instructor. He was also a long time member of the American Legion. Don married his childhood sweetheart Judy Chance September 30, 1962. He was a loving husband to Judy and always made sure she had what she needed. If he couldn't buy it he built it. Don was a welder by trade and owned his own business for over 30 yrs. He was an inventor and received a patent in 1985 for improving quality of rock in quarries. He believed in "hands on." He loved to fish and be outdoors and especially loved being with his 3 grand boys. He always told them, "Never start a job without finishing it." Don is survived by his wife of the home; 3 children, Tony Hutchison and wife Sherri, Kerri Wattenburger and husband Brian, Steve Hutchison. Also, 3 daughters from previous marriage; Diana Banks, Elizabeth and Dona who were adopted out in August, 1964; grand children and great grand children; One brother, two sisters. Also several nieces and nephews and many friends. Don is proceeded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, Bill, Benny, Freddie & Lynn and one Sister Nelda Smith. |
