© Davis Funeral Home Cushing, Oklahoma March 2011 April 3 1921 ~ March 30, 2011 Wauneeta Bessie Raffety Bush, lifelong resident of Oak Grove and Cushing, passed away at Linwood Village on March 30, 2011 at the age of 89 years. On April 3, 1921, she was born to Floyd and Muriel Hough Raffety. Wauneeta as a child grew up in the Oak Grove area and graduated from Drumright High School in May 1938. She married William “Billy” Bush, Jr. on August 31, 1940. They were married almost 42 years, until his death on April 27, 1982. Wauneeta and Billy had four children, John, Robert, Ronald and Phyllis Kay. She worked for Cushing Wholesale Grocery and did bookwork for Bush and Sons Service Station for many years. In her past time, she enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, crocheting and enjoying her flowers. Surviving family include her children, John Bush and his wife Patricia "Pat" of Mustang, Robert Bush and his wife Talitha of Cushing, Ronald Bush and his wife Judith of Cushing and Phyllis Kay Disel and her husband George of Stillwater; a brother, Harold Raffety of Stroud; a sister, Cynthia Stone and her husband Robert of Stroud; eight grandchildren, Terra Ferguson and her husband Rick, Mary Curtis and her husband Ron, Tracy Bush, Don Leslie Bush, Van Bush and his wife Jackie, Ryan Bush and his wife Jennifer, Karen Ward and her husband Justin and Pamela Disel and wife Lauren; eleven great-grandchildren, Courtney Hungerford, Brandon Ferguson, Lauryn Curtis, Michella Bush, Michael Bush and his wife April, Jordan Bush, Jarred Bush, Taylor Disel, Drake Foster, Graci Ward and Axton Ward; four great-great-grandchildren, Keleigh Hungerford, Khatia Bush, Kyron Bush and Aiden Bush; three step-great-great-grandchildren, Elijah, Trinity and Josiah and other family and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, Wauneeta was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Raffety and Billy Raffety and two sisters, Wendall Hall and her husband Elmer and Helen Raffety. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. in the Harrell Cemetery with Pastor Kevin Clouse officiating. |
