© Davis Funeral Home Cushing, Oklahoma October 2008 November 22, 1918 ~ October 8, 2008 Mary Margaret Brennan, lifelong Cushing resident, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 in the Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, at the age of 89 years. The daughter of the late George Taylor and Mary A. Miksch Taylor, Margaret was born on November 22, 1918 in Cushing and was raised and educated in Cushing, attending Cushing Catholic School through grade school, graduating from Cushing High School. Margaret was united in marriage to Patrick J. Brennan on December 27, 1939 in Cushing and to this union three children, Thomas, Pat and JoAnn were born. Patrick preceded her in death on March 10, 1992. She was a member of the St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, and was very active in the Altar Society, having been chosen the 1998 Woman of the Year. Margaret enjoyed going to the Senior Citizen Center, working with arts and crafts, playing card games, especially bunco’s, and spending time with her family and having family get togethers. Survivors include two sons, Thomas Brennan and his wife Barbara of Edmond and Pat W. Brennan and his wife Susie of Cushing; one daughter, JoAnn Manion and her husband David of Cushing; two sisters, Betty Morgan of Cushing and Irene Heideman of Texas; ten grandchildren, Chris, Stephanie, Andrew, Robb, Blake, Chase, Kelly, Patrick, Jason and Nick; 8 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, Margaret was preceded in death by one grandson, Kevin Brennan; four brothers and one sister. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. in the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Matt La Chance officiating. Rosary will be held on Friday evening at 7:00 P.M. in the St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the St. Leo Cemetery. Serving as casket bearers will be Kelly Kersey, Patrick Brennan, Jason Manion, Nick Manion, Chris Brennan, Andrew Brennan, Robb Brennan, Blake Brennan and Chase Brennan. |
