© Strode Funeral Home Stillwater, Oklahoma April 2003 Reprinted with permission Kate Warren 1958 ~ 2003 Stillwater - KATE WARREN, 45, the daughter of Leroy Warren of Comanche and Bonita Warren of Stillwater, died Friday, April 18, 2003, in Henderson, Nev. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Glenwood Cemetery, east of Stillwater, with Dr. Tom Westbrook and Michael Howard officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of The Bernhardts' Strode Funeral Home of Stillwater. Kate was born Jan. 7, 1958, sharing her grandfather, Howard Warren's birthday. She was a graduate of Medford High School and attended Phillips University in Enid and the University of Oklahoma. She was always active in music programs, athletics and student organizations. Music was always an important part of Kate's life. She was an accomplished musician, singer and composer, who for many years loved performing with her band. Her creative abilities extended to her career as a successful graphic artist. Her interests included traveling and networking with friends worldwide, as well as doting on her dog, Alex, and her two new kittens. Survivors include her mother, Bonita Warren of Stillwater; her father, Leroy Warren and his wife Joyce of Comanche; paternal grandmother, Myrtle Warren of Stillwater; a sister, Connie Fox of Eufaula; two brothers, David Warren and his wife Donalea of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Doug Warren and his wife Pam of St. Louis, Mo.; her beloved niece and nephew, Sasha Fox of Tulsa and Grady Fox of Oklahoma City; aunts and uncles, Kathy and Val Gardner of Stillwater, Jim Gardner of Arlington, Texas, and Ann and Darrell Agard of Chandler, Texas; a cousin, Valerie Woods and her husband Glen of Stillwater; a great-aunt, Babe Fisher of Stillwater; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Grady and Edith Gardner; and her paternal grandfather, Howard Warren. Kate Warren January 7,1958 ~ April 18, 2003 |
