© Palmer Marler Funeral Home Stillwater, OK October 2009 Reprinted with permission June Lee Moor April 5, 1923 ~ October 22, 2009 June Moor died Thursday, October 22, 2009 in Cushing, OK where she lived at Resthaven Nursing Home. She was born April 5, 1923 in Minco, OK to Howard Franklin Moor and Mary Dorthy Engelke. June grew up in OK, MO, and CA. After returning to OK, June attended Southeastern Nazarene College in Bethany and later transferred to Oklahoma State University in Stillwater where she obtained a degree in Home Economics. After graduation, June taught one year in South Coffeeville, OK and two years in Wister, OK. She then moved to Ohio where she taught for thirty years. Retiring after 33 years, June returned home to Oklahoma where she taught preschool at Hillcrest Baptist Church for another seven years. She enjoyed children, dogs, collecting butterflies, and going to church. She enjoyed attending the Nazarene Church in Stillwater where she was a member. She leaves behind two sisters, Lilian Hestand and Lucille Etheridge; one sister-in-law, Ruth Moor; as well as several nieces, nephews, and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Archie Moor, Ray Moor, and Leo Moor; and a sister, Elise Hestand. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 26, 2009 at Glenwood Cemetery with her great-nephew, Scott Miller officiating. Services are under the direction of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Stillwater. |
