March 2020 Clayton Lee Lancaster January 27, 1948 ~ March 8, 2020 Clayton Lee Lancaster, 72, of Noble, Oklahoma was called home on March 8, 2020. He was born to Allen and Margery Salina Lancaster on January 27, 1948 in Pawnee, Oklahoma. Clayton Lee graduated from Pawnee High School and attended Oklahoma State University where he met the love of his life. He served in the National Guard and worked thirteen years in law enforcement serving on the Stillwater Police Department and Payne County Sheriffâ•.s Department. Then, he spent the remainder of his career as a claims adjuster for GAB, Farmland, and Nationwide Insurance. He married Dorothy Nelson in 1971. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Lancaster, his children Lisa Lancaster, Christy Gianino and husband, Tony of Noble, Jennifer Lancaster of Stephenville, TX, and Lee Allen Lancaster and wife, Bridgette of Yukon. He is also survived by his grandchildren Hannah, AJ, Noah, and Caleb Gianino and Mary and Alli Lancaster, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings Allen Lancaster and wife Doris, Donna Harkins, and Clara Jean Lancaster. Lee was an active member of the Catholic Church serving at his various home parishes on parish council, as Third Degree Knight, Grand Knight, Junior High Youth Group Leader, Eucharistic Minister, Choir Member, and Cantor. If his kids were involved, so was he, as he was a part of Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, softball coach, and band booster. He supported his local community through foster care and service through Lionâ•.s Club. He loved his family and spending time with kids and grandkids traveling, camping, fishing, hunting, and playing cards. He combined his love of woodworking and caring for others by crafting and providing hand crosses to those who were hospitalized or going through difficult times. He now joins family and friends at the eternal fishing hole in heaven. Rosary will be 7:00 pm, March 12 at St. Thomas More, Norman, Oklahoma. The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00, March 13 at St. Thomas More. His place of internment is Glenwood Cemetery in Perkins, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made in Clayton Leeâ•.s honor to St. Vincent de Paul at St. Thomas More University Parish, 100 East Stinson, Norman, OK 73072. The family would like to thank doctors, nurses, and staff of Dr. Tedesco, Dr. Harvey, Dr. Lobb, Oklahoma Heart Hospital, and Davita Dialysis Center. |
