© Palmer Marler Funeral Home Cushing, OK - Payne and Lincoln County July 2010 Lillie Marie [Whitmore] Fox July 5, 1919 ~ July 14, 2010 Lillie Marie Fox, age 91, of Stillwater, went to her new home in heaven, Wednesday evening, July 14, 2010, in Stillwater, Okla. Her funeral services have been entrusted to the care of the Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater, and will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 19, 2010, at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home chapel in Stillwater with Pastor Mark Schardein officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow at the Glenwood Cemetery south of Stillwater. Visitation for Mrs. Fox will be from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday. Mrs. Fox was born on July 5, 1919, in Coyle, Okla., and was the daughter of James and Carrie (Ellis) Whitmore. She grew up in Coyle and graduated from Coyle High School in 1937. She married Frank Hillhouse on July 5, 1941, and following their marriage they lived in Coyle and Perkins. She married Jack Fox in 1956. She moved to Stillwater in 1970 and went to work for Tiny's CafĂ©. She purchased it a year later. She also owned a restaurant in Sapulpa which was known as the Courthouse Grill. Lillie was affiliated with the Bible Alliance Church. She enjoyed traveling, working crossword puzzles and cooking holiday dinners for her family. Lillie is survived by a daughter, Lois Osborn of Glencoe; one brother, John Whitmore and wife Beatrice of Coyle; one daughter-in-law, Judy Hillhouse of Wewoka; six grandchildren, Debbie Hampton and husband John, Mike Osborn, Steve Smith, Karen Odem, Leon Smith, Lori Hoffman; several great grandchildren including, Kyle Smith, Michelle Smith, Owen Osborn, Johathan Bransetter. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Eugene Hillhouse, a daughter, Joyce Marie Smith; granddaughter-in-law, Peggy Osborn, brothers, Lester Whitmore and Frank Whitmore, sisters, Bertha Harshman, Lula Moore, Grace Watkins, Pearl Sherman and Jessie Lake. |
