© Strode Funeral Home Stillwater, Oklahoma March 2008 Robert E. Decker July 24, 1929 ~ March 11, 2008 Robert E. Decker, Sr., 78, of Cushing, Okla. died on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 in Cushing. Graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Glenwood Cemetery with Dr. Norman Richmond officiating. Strode Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. He was born on July 24, 1929 in Perkins, Okla. to Tom Berry Decker and Bessie L. (Rice) Decker. He attended school in Perkins and graduated from Perkins High School. He later entered the Army and served for three years as an M.P. After returning from service he worked at the OSU turkey farm. Later he started working at Stewart Stone Company as a pyro-technician retiring after several years. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Tom Decker and Ronnie Decker; two brothers, Clifford Decker and Lester Decker; two sisters, Sylvia Mayfield and Marie Walker. He is survived by one son, Robert Decker, Jr. and Janice Hampton of Cushing, Okla.; two grandchildren, Chad and his wife Sarah Decker and Scott Decker; one great granddaughter, Jayde Decker; two brothers, Archie Decker and his wife Joyce of Stillwater, Okla. and Eddie Gladden and his wife Pam of Tryon, Okla. A graveside service will follow at 2:00pm at Glenwood Cemetery near Perkins, Oklahoma. Archie Decker was born November 8, 1933 at Tryon, Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife, Joyce; two children, Jerry L. Loader and his wife Kathie, Molly and her husband, Bobby Edwards; and many grand children and Great Grand children. |
