Rose Ann [Gates] Cooksey
June 13, 1958 ~ March 21, 2011


Rose Ann Cooksey, 52, died March 21, 2011, at the Via Christi Regional Hospital in Wichita, Kan. Family will greet friends on Thursday, March 24, 2011, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Strode Funeral Home in Stillwater, Okla. Her services will be 2 p.m. on Friday, March 25, 2011, at Strode Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater, Okla. Interment will be at Glenwood Cemetery at a later date.

She was born on June 13, 1958, to Jack Leon Gates and Ruby Vera Gates in Yale, Okla. She married Larry Beaver at the Payne County Court House in June of 1975. She later married Mike Cooksey in Perry, Okla. in November of 1992.

She is preceded in death by her son, Gerald Dan Beaver; father, Jack Gates; and brothers, David and Elvis Gates.

She is survived by her mother, Ruby Gates, of Perry, Okla.; husband, Mike Cooksey, of Winfield, Kan.; son, Jason Beaver; daughter, Barbara Holloway; sisters, Loretta Cooksey and Feebie Cooksey; brother, Ronald Fultz; several nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.
