Asbill November 19, 1949 ~ September 20, 2018 LD Asbill, age 68, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2018 in Stillwater, OK, surrounded by his loving family. Services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater. Visitation will be Thursday, September 27, 2018 from 9:00am to 8:00pm at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home, with family greeting guest from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Graveside services will be Friday, September 28, 2018 at 2:00pm at Glencoe South Cemetery in Glencoe, OK, with Rev. Norman Richmond officiating. Pallbearers will be Tylor Asbill, Earl Cook, Jr., Kyle Stokes, Casey Gay, Corey Jones, and Josh Guinn. Honorary pallbearers will be Bryce Sharpton and Loy Roberson. LD was born November 19, 1949 in Stillwell, OK, to Christopher and Bonnie (Riggs) Asbill. He grew up in the Stillwell area. He married Nancy Emery on December 25, 1970 in Glencoe, OK. He loved working on cars and spending time with his family. Especially his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Nancy Asbill; two daughters, Jennifer Cook and husband Earl, Jr. of Stillwater, OK, and Tina Asbill of Glencoe, OK; six grandchildren, Lance Asbill, Alexis Sharpton, Tylor Asbill, Nathan Cook, Vanessa Henry, and Kayla Cook; twelve great-grandchildren, Bryce, Samus, Kota, Paige, Bentleigh, Kain, Evelynn, Charlie, Gracie, Oliver, Hunter, and Maddy; four brothers, Cordell Asbill of Glencoe, OK, Albert Asbill of Hugo, OK, Frank Asbill of Choteau, OK, and Jack Mitchell of Hugo, OK; one sister, Carleen McVay of Ponca City, OK; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and three sisters. |
