Hazel Lee Wooldridge, longtime Cushing resident, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2008, at the age of 82 years.
The daughter of the late William Myatt and Mary Jane Hare Myatt, Hazel was born on January 7, 1926 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas and was raised and educated in that area.
She was united in marriage to Jesse Wooldridge on October 18, 1941 and he preceded her in death in 1971.
Hazel worked in food service at the Oklahoma State University in Stillwater for years and later moved to housekeeping at the Cushing Regional Hospital before retiring in 1989.
She was a faithful member of the United Pentecostal Church in Cushing; Hazel’s church family and strong faith were her primary passions in life.
She also enjoyed gardening, baking, embroidery work and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her children, Tony Wooldridge of McAlester, OK, Phyllis Scouten and her husband Paul of Cushing, Vickie Percell and her husband Ronnie of Onamia, MN, Mary Pietruszewski and her husband Mark of Champlin, MN, Matthew Wooldridge of Oklahoma City and Naomi Rios and her husband Richard of Cushing; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Connie Johns and Rebecca Brunner; four sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 17, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. in the United Pentecostal Church with Pastor Francis Westberg officiating.
Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery.
The family will greet friends on Sunday, November 16, 2008 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the Floyd Family Center, east of the Funeral Home.
