Frank Manford Smith

Frank Manford Smith, retired from the United States Army, passed away on Friday, July 13, 2007 in Tulsa at the age of 76 years.

The son of the late George W. Smith and Florence Peak Smith, Frank was born on April 18, 1931 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas and was reared and educated in Oklahoma.

After serving in the army for 25 years, he returned to Cushing and had lived here since.

Frank attended the New Fellowship Church. He enjoyed listening to gospel music; the grand old opry, and spending time in the city park watching squirrels.

Survivors include his six children, Norma Real of Cushing, Anna Sams of Cushing, Karin Novotny of Stillwater, Theda DuVall of Valley Farms, AZ, Tommy DuVall of Valley Farms, AZ and Ronnie Smith of Stillwater; two brothers, Jack Smith of Colorado and Gary Smith of Stillwater; thirteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends, including Tekla Smith.

Services will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. in the Davis Memorial Chapel with Reverend Steve Orton, pastor of the New Fellowship Church, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery.
