Robb, a former Cushing resident, now of Houston, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2008, in Houston, at the age of 80 years. The daughter of the late George Landon Allen and Willie Dickey Allen, Virginia was born on May 25, 1928 in Cushing, OK and was reared and educated here, graduating from Cushing High School. She was united in marriage to James Lester “Les” Robb on December 25, 1947 in Cushing, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 2, 2003. While living in Houston she was a member of the Gethsemene United Methodist Church. She enjoyed bowling, visiting with family and friends; crossword puzzles; traveling; church volunteering; watching M.A.S.H.; playing board games and shopping. Virginia is survived by her three children, Steven Allen Robb, Sarah Marie Kole and Lorinda Robb; her grandchildren, Alexander Robb, Benjamin Robb, Nicholas Robb, Katherine Robb, Gwendolyn Robb, Crystal Kole, Kimberly Kole and Ryan Kole; one great-grandchild, Logan Shields; one sister-in-law, Wilma Allen; a son-in-law Joe Kole and a daughter-in-law Lorene Robb and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother G. W. “Wilbo” Allen. Graveside services will be held on Sat., October 11, 2008 at 10 A.M. in the Fairlawn Cemetery at Cushing with Pastor Bob Vaught, officiating. The family will greet friends on Friday evening from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Floyd Family Center, east of the Funeral Home. |
