Pattsie R. [Crooks] Lacy
July 14, 1929 ~ October 6, 2010


Pattsie R. “Pat” Lacy, lifelong Cushing resident, passed away on October 6, 2010 in Tulsa at the age of 81 years.

The daughter of the late John Courtright and Anna Mae Thompson Crooks, Pattsie was born on July 14, 1929 in Cushing, where she was also reared and educated.

She was united in marriage to Lewis Harold Lacy in 1954 in Arkansas. To this union eleven children, Charles, James, Bertha, Tommie, Goldie, William, Benny, Mechell, Johnny, Otis and Stephanie, were born.

Pat loved her dogs, loved to talk with her family and friends and loved to watch Westerns.

She had worked several years at Christine’s Café in Cushing.

Survivors include ten children, Charles Lacy of Cushing, James Thompson and Tammy of Drumright, Bertha Hunziker of Cushing, Tommie Scalley and her husband Jerry of Mannford, Goldie Hatcher and her husband Carl of Logansport, LA, William Lacy of Paden, OK, Benny Lacy and Michelle of Cushing, Mechell Westberry and her husband Barney of Tyler, TX, Johnny Lacy and his wife Vicky of Cushing and Otis Lacy of Helena, OK; 34 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Jessie Clancey of Oklahoma City and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Pat was preceded in death by one daughter, Stephanie Lacy and two brothers, Joe Crooks and Roy Don Crooks.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 11, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. in the Oak Grove Baptist Church with Brother Mike Murray officiating.

Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery.

Serving as casketbearers will be J C Freeman, John L. Lacy, Michael Westberry, Jason Scalley, Dakota Scalley, Jeremy Scalley and Mark Scalley.
