© Davis Funeral Home Cushing, Oklahoma Printed With Permission April 2006 December 21, 1929 ~ April 28, 2006 Betty Lou Jeske passed away early Friday morning, April 28, 2006 at her residence at the age of 76 years. The daughter of the late Fred Mason Allen and Bertha Brooks Allen, Betty was born on December 21, 1929 in Ketchum, OK and was reared and educated in Ketchum, graduating from Ketchum High School in 1947. She was united in marriage to Louis Wayne Jeske on June 8, 1947 in Ketchum, OK, and the couple established their first home here at that time, where they owned and operated the Grade A Dairy in addition to farming. The couple had been married for over 57 years before he passed away in March of 2005. Betty was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church where she had been very active for many years in teaching children in grade I Sunday School; the WMU, Acteens, Vacation Bible School and the Care and Share Ministry. She enjoyed reading, sewing and gardening. Surviving include one son, Louis Jeske of Cushing; one daughter Lou Ann Sollars and her husband Donnie of Cushing; one sister, Lela Dobson of Tulsa; four brothers, Bill Allen and his wife Geneva of Jenks, Paul Allen and his wife Sue of Ketchum, John Allen of LA and David Allen and his wife Jonan of Sand Springs; one grandson David Don Sollars, student at the University of Oklahoma; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Nancy Jane; one sister Ellen Dalrymple and three brothers, Fred Mason Allen, Jr, Cecil “Butch” Allen and Jackie Allen. A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 1, 2006 at 2 P.M. in the First Baptist Church with Ralph Hickman officiating. Burial will be held at Fairlawn Cemetery. |
