Dillard F. Hudson, longtime Yale resident, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at the age of 92 years.
The son of the late Hubert Hudson and Cora Harmon, Dillard was born on November 28, 1913 in Trousdale, Oklahoma and was raised in Pottawatomie County.
He was united in marriage to Ada Hudson on October 30, 1935 in Watonga, Oklahoma. The couple moved here in 1948 and had lived here since that time. Ada preceded him in death on September 26, 1998. He was united in marriage to Laura Harris on August 2, 1999 in Bristow, Oklahoma.
Dillard was a member of the Council Valley Advent Christian Church and a 32nd Degree Mason.
He was a licensed pilot for over 40 years and enjoyed flying airplanes and loved to parachute.
Survivors include his wife Laura of the home; two step-children, Eric Harris of Bartlesville and Rob Harris and his wife Lorie of Bolivar, MO; three step-grandchildren, Kellie Harris, Steven Harris and Caleb Harris; close neighbors, Fred & Eilene Eberhart; other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents and wife Ada, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Austin Hudson, Curtis Hudson and Marlee Hudson and one step-son, Paul James Harris.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 24, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. in the Council Valley Baptist Church with Reverend Larry Lehr, pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery.
