Funeral services for Mildred “Juanita” Hall will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 31 at the First Assembly of God Church in Cushing, with the Reverend Tim Watkins of the Calvary Temple Church of Tulsa officiating.
Committal will be at the Cushing Fairlawn Cemetery following the ceremony.
Mrs. Hall died at the Sun Ridge Baptist Village Care Center on March 23 with her daughter, Debra at her side. She was 89 years old.
Mildred “Juanita” Hall was born on July 16, 1921 in Lavaca, Arkansas, the daughter of Clarence and Bertie Hudson.
She was graduated from Tulsa Central High School in 1940.
She completed cosmetology school in Tulsa and worked as a beautician for many years.
She married Clarence William Hall on September 25, 1944 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They traveled extensively throughout the United States and Canada with Mr. Hall’s job as a Chief Inspector for Shell Pipeline. They moved to Cushing in 1947, where Mrs. Hall made her home for over 50 years.
In 2005, Mrs. Hall moved to Riverton, Wyoming to be closer to her daughter and family. Due to her declining health, Mrs. Hall moved to the Phoenix, Arizona area in October of 2009 where she lived in an assisted living center close to her daughter, Debra.
Mrs. Hall owned and operated Nita’s Beauty Salon out of her home for almost 20 years in Cushing.
Her family said that she enjoyed her church, traveling, attending gospel music concerts, attending family gatherings and reminiscing about “old times”. Family birthdays and holidays were always special events in the Hall family and were celebrated with lots of food and her special “blackberry cobbler”.
Mrs. Hall was a long time member of the First Assembly of God Church where she was active in many of the church’s ministries. She loved taking care of the children in the nursery.
Survivors include four daughters, Deanna Ringer of Carefree, Arizona, Debra Ansivino and her husband Tim of Sun City West, Arizona, Pat Stoehr and her husband Larry of Riverton, Wyoming and Linda Craig and her husband Cameron of Littleton, Colorado. She was “Mema” to eight grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Clarence Hall and two sons-in-laws, R. B. Cline and Ray Ringer.
The family will greet friends on Wednesday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
The family request in lieu of flowers that a donation be made to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice.
