Katharine Elizabeth [Poyner] Goforth

Katharine Elizabeth Poyner Goforth passed away on Friday, May 6, 2011 in Oklahoma City at the age of 39 years.

The daughter of Marilyn Poyner and the late Lonnie Poyner, Katharine was born on March 8, 1972 in Downey, California and was raised and educated in California.

She was united in marriage to Harvey Goforth, Jr. on June 21, 1993 in Cushing, and to this union three daughters, Hannah, Becky and Georgia, were born.

Before getting sick, Katharine had worked as a CNA for the Linwood Village Nursing Home for over 6 years.

She enjoyed watching classical movies, the food channel and NCIS; reading romance and suspense novels and she loved baking.

Survivors include her husband of almost 18 years, Harvey of the home; three daughters, Hannah Conner and her husband Travis, Becky Goforth and Georgia Goforth, all of Cushing; her mother, Marilyn Poyner of Cushing; her father-in-law & mother-in-law, Harvey Goforth, Sr. & Wanda of Cushing; three brothers, James Lacey and his wife Vanessa of Skiatook, Jeff Poyner and his wife Nancy of Cushing and Phillip Poyner and his wife Laura of Guthrie; three sisters-in-law, Tammy Houston and her husband Gary of Stillwater, Shirley Bachari of Magnolia, Arkansas and Carol Moore and her husband Tony of Cushing; several cousins, including Chris Morrison of Cushing and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lonnie Poyner; her grandfather and grandmother Foley, one aunt, Pamela Sue Morrison and two cousins, Cheyanne Foley and Kimberly Tuttle.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. in the Memorial Chapel of the Davis Funeral Home with James Lacey officiating.

Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery.
