Mary Lou Culver Glatt, former Cushing resident, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2005 in Phoenix, AZ at the age of 78 years.
The daughter of the late Clarence F. Culver and Berniece Duncan Culver, Mary was born on November 2, 1926 in Cushing, OK where she was raised and educated.
Mary will be remembered for being an excellent seamstress, for her exquisite clothing, hats and shoes. She enjoyed reading, bowling, playing the piano, entertaining and through her love for children, had taught Sunday school since her early 20’s. Mary was very dedicated to her church ministry, she never met a stranger; she was cooking for the refugees in Sedona, AZ until her health wouldn’t allow her to continue.
Mary is survived by one daughter Betty Jeanne “BJ” Cayton and her husband Keith of Lake Charles, LA; two sons, Tom Glatt, Sr. and his wife Diane of Portland, OR and Bart Glatt and his wife Renee of Lake Charles, LA; eight grandchildren, Stewart Cayton, Savannah Burke, Tom Glatt, Jr., Stephanie Glatt, Kiristen Ott, Allisen Ott, Aimee Gwartney and Judith Glatt; four great grandchildren; one cousin, Betty Jean Jones and her husband Harold V. of Tulsa, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother Lloyd Culver.
Services will be held Saturday, October 22, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. in the Davis Memorial Chapel.
Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Cushing.
