Paul J. Easley
August 4, 1921 ~ January 4, 2007


Paul J. Easley, Cushing resident, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2007 in Tulsa, at the age of 85 years.

The son of the late Ezra J. Easley and Allenah McGeehee Easley, Paul was born on August 4, 1921 in Tribbey, OK. He came to Cushing as a small child and was reared and educated in Cushing.

He served in the United States Army from 1939 to 1946. After the service he worked for Long Bell Lumber until they went out of business; went into business for himself, Paul’s floor covering here, until the refineries went out; then went to Houston and worked 10 years and then returned to Cushing and worked part time for Marvin Franklin Plumbing before retirement.

Paul enjoyed outdoors; he loved to fish, travel, hunt and dance.

Survivors include his wife Louise Evans Easley of the home; one daughter Tena Turner of Cushing; one step-son-in-law, Mike Dolan; two grandchildren James Turner of McKinney, TX and Martha Moon of St. Petersburg, FL; three great-grandchildren; nephews, Lee Riggs, Les Easley and Everett Easley; nieces, Essie Quinn, Carol Hatem, Erval France, Bonnie Bristow, Helen Hampton, Mary Hall and Edith Riggs; 10 step-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters Pauline Easley and Alice Riggs; two brothers, Everett Easley and Alan Easley and one step-daughter Sue Delaney Dolan.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2006 at 2 P.M. in the Memorial Chapel of the Davis Funeral Home with Bob Vaught, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery.
