JoAnn Loretta [Anderson] Dunlap
16 May 1934 - 30 Aug 2008


JoAnn Loretta Dunlap, lifelong Cushing resident, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2008 in the Drumright Nursing Home at the age of 74 years.

The daughter of the late Vern Anderson and Vergie Wright Anderson, JoAnn was born on May 16, 1934 in Cushing and was reared and educated in Cushing.

She was united in marriage to Fred Dunlap on November 5, 1960 in Tulare, CA. To this union, two daughters, Betty Jo and Brenda Lee were born.

JoAnn was a member of the Oak Street Baptist Church.

She enjoyed participating in the Senior Focus group at the hospital and being on the bowling team. She loved to crochet, knit, work crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. She especially enjoyed reading Huckleberry stories and singing to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She will be remembered for being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Survivors include her husband of over 47 years, Fred, of the home; two daughters, Betty Jo Dunlap and Brenda Lee Ledgerwood and her husband Matt Prince both of Cushing; two grandchildren, Michael Ledgerwood & Sara Jane Bench and Patrick Ledgerwood; two great-grandchildren Lindsey Nicole Ledgerwood and Daniel Coleten Ledgerwood; four brothers, Johnnie Anderson, Jimmie Anderson, Ronnie Anderson and Tommy Anderson, all of Cushing; five sisters, Betty Wickett, Barbara Thompson, Joyce Wilson, Janie Anderson and Alice Jones, all of Cushing; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Ray Anderson.

Services will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2008 in the Davis Memorial Chapel with Reverend Sonny Johnson officiating.

Serving as casket bearers will be Johnnie Lee Anderson, Darrel Robison, Doug Harmon, Tom Jones, Justin Exton and David Exton.

Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery.

Betty Jo Dunlap
May 11, 1957 ~ June 3, 2009


Betty Jo Dunlap, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at her residence at the age of 52 years.

The daughter of Freddie L. Dunlap and JoAnn Loretta Anderson Dunlap, Betty Jo was born on May 11, 1957 in Tulare, CA.

She came to Cushing with her parents and family in 1973 and she had lived here since that time, graduating from Cushing High School.

She enjoyed crocheting blankets and spending time with her great niece and nephew.

Survivors include her father, Fred Dunlap of the home; one sister Brenda Ledgerwood and her husband Matt Prince of Cushing; two nephews, Michael and Patrick Ledgerwood; one great niece Lindsey Ledgerwood; one great nephew Coleten Ledgerwood; several aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, JoAnn Dunlap.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 10 A.M. in the Memorial Chapel of the Davis Funeral Home with Sonny Johnston, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery.

Following the burial, the family will gather at the home for lunch.
