© May 2010 Gloria Louise [Booten] Buckles March 30, 1934 ~ May 22, 2010 Gloria Louise Buckles, a housewife, passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at the age of 76 years. The daughter of the late Calvin C. Booten and Katherine C. Kinsley Booten, Gloria was born on March 30, 1934, in Cushing, OK and was raised and educated here. She was united in marriage to Clifford Kenneth Buckles on January 12, 1953 in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and to this union two children, Carol and Kenny were born. Gloria was baptized into the Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time in her yard, working crossword puzzles and reading. Surviving include her children, Carol Arterbery and her husband Paul of Stillwater and Kenny Buckles and his wife Robin of Cushing; a sister Joann Florer and her husband Wayne of Guthrie; two brothers, Robert Booten and his wife Ruth and Chris Booten all of Cushing; seven grandchildren, Mike Murray and his wife Caroline, Matt Murray and his wife Mallorie, Carrie Confer and her husband Andy, Jenny Pratt and her husband Clint, Hayley Clark and her husband Bobby, Hannah Parsons and her husband James and Ariel Buckles; 10 great grandchildren, Kendall, Claire and Ella Confer, Rand McKenna, Griffin Murray, Addison Murray, Arwen Clark, Landon Clark and Devynn Clark; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clifford Buckles. Graveside services will be held Monday, May 24, 2010 at 3:30 P.M. in the Fairlawn Cemetery. |
