Wagoner County, Oklahoma September 1966 February 22, 1943 ~ September 30, 1966 Dale Frank Boyles, 23 year old Muskogee youth, was killed instantly last Friday morning, September 30, 1966, when his 1958 Rambler crossed the center line and struck a cattle truck 3.9 miles south of Wagoner in front of Baker's Cafe. Ralph Gene Williams, 31, of Skiatook, Oklahoma was the driver of the cattle truck. Patrolman Glen Butler said Boyles apparently went to sleep while driving. The cattle truck was turned over and 2 of the 14 calves were killed. |

© Davis Funeral Home Cushing, Oklahoma Printed With Permission February 2002 October 18, 1918 ~ February 2, 2002 Cushing resident Mary Lillian "Tommie" Boyles, 83, died Saturday, February 2, 2002, in Cushing. Services will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Memorial Chapel of Davis Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery in Cushing under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Cushing. Boyles was born in Porum October 18, 1918, to W.T. and Mary E. [Roe] Boles. She was raised in the Council Valley area and was one of six members of the graduating class of 1936 at Ripley High School. On August 27, 1938, she married Morrison M. Boyles in Cushing. They made their home in Texas, where he was an employee of Firestone for more than 20 years. They eventually moved to Cushing, where he started the Morrison M. Boyles Oil Co. He died February 1, 1985. Boyles was a longtime member of the Church of Christ. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one grandson, Gregory Scott McFarlin; two sisters; and two brothers. Survivors include two daughters, Tammye Boyles Davidson and her husband Gary of Cushing and Kaye Boyles McFarlin and her husband R.L. of Spearman, Texas; four grandchildren, Brad and Amber Davidson, both of Cushing, Kellye Kaye Cator of Spearman and Robbie Lynn Pulley and her husband David of Amarillo, Texas; six great-grandchildren, Casey, Dakota, Kyler and Colton Cator, all of Spearman, and Zane and Kelton Pulley, both of Amarillo; one sister, Dorla Jeanne Absher of Comanche; numerous nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. Marline was united in marriage to Johnnie David Boyles on December 31, 1943, in Ripley. To this union four children. Johnnie preceded her in death on June 26, 2005. In addition to her husband and parents, Marline was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters, Clifford Buckles, Russell Buckles, Guy Laverne Buckles, Cecil Buckles, Orin Buckles, Genevieve Daniel and Elizabeth Soapes. Services will be Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Davis Memorial Chapel with Reverend John Coker officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery. |
