THURSDAY FUNERAL SET FOR MRS. BUFFINGTON.
Mrs. Elmer A. {Sarah Ann} Buffington, 87, formerly of 414 E. 13th, died Tuesday, Feb 5, 1980 in Stillwater Medical Center.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Strode Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev Eulis Grisham officiating, burial will be at Fairlawn Cemetery.
She was born June 1, 1892 at Wellston, Indian Territory, the daughter of John T. and Margaret N. Groggin.
She lived in Oklahoma all her life and after her marriage to Elmer A. Buffington in Guthrie on April 12, 1911, they lived on a farm near Wellston before moving to a farm southwest of Stillwater. In 1945 they moved to Stillwater. Mr. Buffington died on August 11, 1979.
She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church.
A sister and two brothers preceded her in death.
Surviving are fours sons, Alvin M. and Joe Lewis of Wichita, Elmer Dale of Roswell, New Mexico and Robert Gene of McAlester, Oklahoma and a daughter Mrs. Alberta Arwine of Bethany, Oklahoma.
Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 14 great granchildren.
