© Davis Funeral Home Cushing, Oklahoma April 2007 December 1, 1957 ~ April 6, 2007 Linda Jean Tucker, a retired officer for the Cushing Police Department, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2007 in the St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa at the age of 49 years. The daughter of Oleta "Mimi" Silkwood and the late William E. "Gene" Rush, Linda was born on December 1, 1957 in Yale. She was reared and educated in Cushing, graduating in 1976. She was united in marriage to John Tucker on November 30, 1980 in the First United Methodist Church in Cushing. To this union there were three children, Sharrane, Amanda and Logan. Linda worked as a police officer and detective for the Cushing Police Department for 18 years before retiring due to her health. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of our Redeemer, a member of the FOP Lodge # 106 and attended Fin & Feather in Oklahoma on an annual basis. She loved to spend time with her children, family and friends and was an avid photographer. Linda touched the lives of everyone she knew. She could make anything beautiful. Linda is a very special and precious woman who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her mother, Oleta Silkwood and her husband Leon of Cushing; sister Janice Roberts and her husband Jimmy of Cushing; husband, John Tucker of Cushing; two daughters, Sharrane Rigsby of Enid and Amanda Lea and her husband Jimmy of Oilton; one son, Joseph [Logan] Tucker of the home; five grandchildren, Linda Tucker, Spencer Rigsby, Jonathan Rigsby and Cheyanne Rigsby all of the home and Zachariah Lea of Oilton and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, all of whom Linda loved very much. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Rickie Young. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. in the Euchee Valley Memorial Park Cemetery with Reverend David Helmer officiating. The family will greet friends on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 from 6-8 in the Floyd Family Center at the Davis Funeral Home. |
