© Stumpff Funeral Homes & Crematory Bartlesville, Oklahoma July 2017 June 27, 1936 ~ July 9, 2017 Sandra Lou Still passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2017 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She was born June 27, 1936 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Louis and Juanita [Ralston] Hrenchir and was raised in Olive, Oklahoma. She graduated from Olive High School. Sandra attended secretarial school in Edmond, Oklahoma and began her career in Drumright, where she worked for L.E. Shanks Insurance. In January 1966, she met and married A.B. Still and together they operated A.B. Still Wel-Service, an oil and gas wireline company, for over 40 years. They were married until A.B.’s passing in 2010 and raised three children. Sandra loved the Drumright community. She served on the Drumright Hospital board of directors and sang with the Drumright Ensemble, but what she enjoyed most was working behind the scenes, quietly lending a helping hand wherever it was needed. In the last year of her life, Sandra relocated from her home in Drumright to Tallgrass Estates, an independent living community in Bartlesville. She quickly became involved in the activities there and made numerous friends. True to her motherly nature, she was often spotted in the dining room helping other residents get to their seats, and was known for walking her neighbors back to their apartments to be sure they made it safely home. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Juanita Hrenchir; her husband, A.B. Still; and sisters Betty Jo Carroll of Tulsa and Mary Ann Brower of Oklahoma City. Sandra is survived by her three children: Debbie and her husband Randy Fitzsimmons of Copan, Oklahoma; Lynda and her husband Jeff Metz of Sagle, Idaho; and Sam and his wife Michele of Stillwater, Oklahoma. She is also survived by six grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, July 15 at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Cushing. Interment will follow at Euchee Valley Cemetery. |
