Robinson, Jr., Cushing resident, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2007 in Oklahoma City at the age of 63 years. The son of Vada Inman Robinson and the late Herbert L. Robinson, Sr., Herbert was born on November 11, 1944 in Nowata County. He was educated in the Copan Schools. Herbert joined the U.S. Army in 1966, serving with the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment Blackhorse Division in Vietnam in 1967 and 1968. He was united in marriage to Barbara DeSilva on February 12, 1982 in Bartlesville, OK. Herbert enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. He worked at Reda Pump in Bartlesville; Submersible Pump in Cushing and was a retiree from Wal-Mart. Survivors include his wife of over 25 years, Barbara of the home; four children, Bobby Robinson and his wife Kim, Sherri Reese and her husband Scott, Chris Dominick and her husband Sloan and Dee Farlow and her husband Mike; eight grandchildren, Ashley, Shawnae, Kaytlynn, Madeline, Drew, Katie, Shelbi and Cayla; his mother, Vada Robinson; one brother Jim Robinson and his wife Judy; seven sisters, Sue Hayes and her husband Jim; Judy Helmich and her husband Gary; Janet Farbro and her husband Ernie, Joan Kinzer and her husband Don, Vada McAfee and her husband Ken, Connie Swalley and her husband Johnnie and Ruby Stark and her husband Bud; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. His father preceded him in death in 1992. Services will be held on Friday, December 21, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. in the Full Gospel Assembly of God Church with Pastor Larry Huff officiating. Serving as casketbearers will be Danny Hoggatt, Mark Stark, Keith Stark, Freddie Doye, Homer Johnston, Justin McKinnon and Bobby Robinson. Serving as honorary casketbearers will be Dustin McAfee, Scott McAfee, Steve McAfee, Shawn McAfee, Danny Ray Hayes, Ricky Ward, Tim Ward, Ray Myers, Jack Johnston and James Eden. Burial will follow in the Euchee Valley Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors. Family will greet friends on Thursday evening from 5-7 in the Floyd Family Center, East of the funeral home. |
