© Davis Funeral Home Cushing, Oklahoma September 2009 December 22, 1943 ~ September 12, 2009 James Lloyd Ridenour, longtime Cushing resident and graduate of Cushing High School, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, at his residence at the age of 65 years. The son of the late James Arthur Ridenour and Edna Pauline Sherrill Ridenour, James on born on December 22, 1943 in Richmond, CA. He attended grade school thru High School in Cushing, graduating from Cushing High School in 1962. He joined the Army National Guard on Dec. 10, 1966, and received his honorable discharge as a Sergeant on Dec. 21, 1972. He was with the 45th Infantry Division, Oklahoma City. He attended Okmulgee Tech graduating in May of 1964 with a degree in letterpress printing. James worked for Kerr McGee Refinery in Cushing, later working OKC Refinery at Okmulgee, later for Texaco Pipeline in Cushing and retired from Attco Pipeline as a computer controller in Oklahoma City. He is survived by two sisters, Sherrill Reaves Nye and her husband Bill of Cushing and Pauletta Ridenour West of Tulsa; several nieces and nephews including Mr. & Mrs. Carl R. Cobb of Stillwater, Tonya Cobb Barker of Cushing, Taylor Danielle Cobb of Cushing, Cory James Barker of Cushing, Mr. & Mrs. Scott West of Paola, KS, Miranda West of Paola, KS and Clark West of Paola, KS; brother in law, Loren West and other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. in the Memorial Chapel of the Davis Funeral Home with Mike Dershem officiating. Burial will follow in the Euchee Valley Memorial Park Cemetery. |
