© Davis Funeral Home Cushing, Oklahoma August 2007 August 2, 1932 ~ April 9, 2011 Cushing native Bobby Dale Meyers, passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2011, at the age of 78 years. The son of the late Carcel R. Meyers and Rose Marie Matlock Meyers, Bobby was born on August 2, 1932, here in Cushing and was raised and educated here, graduating from Cushing High School in 1950. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Ralston in 1953 and to this union two sons, Robert and Ronald were born. He was married to Virginia Combs in 1979 and she preceded him in death on April 3, 2009. Bob had worked for U.O.P. for over 30 years as an inspector prior to his retirement. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing; working with the computer; doing genealogy and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his children, Robert Meyers and his wife Diana of Cushing, Ronald Meyers and his wife Mary of Lake Villa, IL, and Charles Combs and his wife Linda of Denton, TX; his grandchildren, Robin Collier and her husband Levi of Cushing, Jacob Meyers of Stillwater, Marcie Meyers of Cushing, Crystal Climer and her husband Eric of Spring, TX, Alicia Meyers of Lake Villa, IL, Marla Clearwater and her husband Kevin of Keller, TX, Jennifer Donesky and her husband Leon of Ft. Worth, TX, Jill Cason of Bedford, TX and Cyndi Mayberry and her husband Guy of Tulsa; great-grandchildren, Ivan, Grant, Morgan, Cameron, Allison and Megan, and other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held Friday, April 15, 2011 at 3 P.M. in the St.'s Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Matt LaChance in charge. Burial will follow in the Euchee Valley Memorial Park Cemetery. |
