© Smith~Gallo Funeral Home Guthrie, Oklahoma May 2020 Jason Michael Gunkel October 02, 1975 ~ May 24, 2020 Jason Michael Gunkel, 44, of Coyle, OK passed away Sunday, May 24, 2020. He was born October 2, 1975 in Oklahoma City, OK to Jim and Sharon [Brewer] Gunkel. Jason graduated from West Moore High School and Moore - Norman Vo Tech. He attended college at Phillips University in Enid, OK and worked as a carpenter. Jason loved riding ATV’s, fishing, working and he loved spending time with his family and friends. Jason became an Eagle Scout as a teenager. He loved animals. Jason was a helpful friend, neighbor, and son. He is preceded in death by his step-son, Verle Parton and his grandparents, Warren and Beatrice Brewer and Wallace, Sr. and Viola Gunkel. Jason is survived by his parents, Jim and Sharon of the home; brother, Robbie Gunkel and Dana of Harrah, OK; daughters, Dayln of Guthrie, Stacy, Charlie, and Emma of Shawnee, OK and step-son, Donnie Parton. He is also survived by his nephews, Austin, Wesley, and Christopher and niece Mary of Harrah as well as his grandson, Brycen of Guthrie and many family members and friends. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, June 4, 2020 at Clarkson Cemetery with Pastor Sandra Ladd officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home. A picnic type lunch will follow the service at Jason's parents' home. Visitation will be held Monday, 1:00 P.M. ~ 7:00 P.M. at Smith-Gallo Funeral Home. |
