Mary Louise [Rhamy] Pettit

Mary L. Pettit passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2007 in the Cushing Regional Hospital at the age of 74 years.

The daughter of the late Theodore Rhamy and Martha Blackburn Rhamy, Mary was born on January 23, 1933 in Cushing, and was reared and educated here.

She was united in marriage to Harley Pettit on May 31, 1950 in Cushing.

Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be remembered as a very kind and generous person.

Survivors include her husband of over 57 years, Harley Pettit of the home; three children, Mike Pettit and his wife Janie of Anadarko, OK, Cindy Engalls and her husband Russell of Bozeman, MT and Marvin Pettit and his wife Kristen of Escondido, CA; two sisters Irene Goodman of Cushing and Theda Amerson of Chickasha; four brothers, T.A. Rhamy and Kenny Rhamy both of Ponca City, Theodore "Ted" Rhamy of Dardanelle, AR, and John Rhamy of Oklahoma City; 6 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill, Raymond and Robert Rhamy.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at 10:30 A.M. in the Full Gospel Assembly of God Church with Reverend Larry Huff, pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery, south of Glencoe.
