Randy Lee Barnard

Randy Lee Barnard passed from this life on August 4, 2024, at the age of 74 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Randy was born on September 5, 1949, in Hominy, Oklahoma, the son of Roy Lee and Verlas Pauline (Tice) Barnard. Randy grew up in Ulysses, Kansas attending Red Rock Elementary and Ulysses High School graduating with the Class of 1967. Randy attended college and was later drafted into the service of his country.

He was initially stationed at Fort Hood, Texas before being deployed to Vietnam. While in country Private Barnard was injured and transferred to Germany before returning to Fort Hood, Texas. While enlisted Private Barnard received the following decoration and citations, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Stars, Combat Infantryman Badge, Expert Rifle and 2nd Class Gunner on the M-60 MG. On May 5, 1971, Randy was honorably discharged. Following Randy's return to Tulsa, Oklahoma he began working for a local construction company and in 1986, Randy started Civil Dirt Work which he operated until 2012. Randy loved to travel, play pool, and being with his family and friends.

Survivors are his three children Jason Barnard of Henryetta, Oklahoma, Arie White of Shelton, Washington, Sherry Pillars of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one brother Ricky Barnard of Chelsea, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents and sister Janice Bowling.

Services will be held at 10:30 am, Monday, August 12, 2024, at the Woodland Cemetery Chapel with Bill Ray officiating. The burial will be in the Woodland Cemetery in Cleveland, Oklahoma.
