Charles Marshall Shaver, "Sonny," passed peacefully in his home surrounded by family on March 4, 2025-a beloved husband, brother, uncle, and papa.
Sonny became a veteran after proudly serving his country in the United States Air Force. Sonny was a lover of music and a gifted musician. He had many interests and talents, such as welding, singing, playing guitar, and attending rodeos with his wife and children. He was also a valued member of the Mason Lodge of Mannford, Oklahoma. Sonny was a family man, a protector, and a provider who always put his family above everything. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
He is survived by his wife, Flora Shaver, who has been married for 62 years. He also leaves behind his sister Carol, his brother Buddy, his two sons Clinton Shaver and Paul Shaver, his grandchildren Scotty Shaver, Braden Shaver, also by Cheyenne Shaver, Sterling Shaver, as well as his great grandchildren Delilah Shaver, Jaxon Shaver, and Paisleigh Shaver.
The family would like to share Sonny's favorite passage from the bible.
Psalm's 103:1
Bless the lord
Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
